About this site

Who invented Who Invented Foxes, and why?

Mike P (database, scripts, HTML) and John T (concept, graphic design) with a bit of help from Mhaille. Fred the Fox was created by Henri Ruukki.

We can all say stupid things at times. That means all of us - if you think you don't, you probably say stupid things most of the time. There's no need to worry, most people say stupid things most of the time, so at least you'll have plenty of company.

But have you ever heard someone say something so overwhelmingly, mind-numbingly, face-palmingly stupid that you felt the urge to share it with the whole world? The sort of thing that's so brain-bogglingly idiotic that you were left wondering how the person who said it has the mental capacity to carry out simple, everyday tasks such as breathing?

We have, and when somebody asked us who invented foxes and why we were inspired to invent this site.

Submission Guidelines

  • Keep it short! Quick, punchy and to the point makes for the best comedy.
  • No sensitive or personal information. Please don't name the source of your quote, or give away any important commercial information or anything like that. We don't want to get anyone in trouble, least of all ourselves. Similarly, it's probably not a good idea to use your full, real name on this site.
  • Please submit one thing at a time. If you add more than one quote at a time then people can't vote on them separately.
  • The moderators reserve the right to edit or delete any submissions which don't meet these guidelines, or for any other reason.
  • Make sure you buy the moderators lots of beer to improve the chances of your submissions making it onto the site.

Any registered user can vote on which quotes they like or dislike. Click on the or symbols next to a quote to tell us what you think of it. You can change your vote at any time by clicking on the other symbol. The top 10 items can be viewed via the "Top Ten" link at the left.
