Engineer: "Because the 386 tends to crash a lot, we built a watchdog for it."
Programmer: "and what does that do?"
Engineer: "it saves the state of the machine, reboots it, and then restores the state."
Programmer: "and then?"
Engineer: "and then it keeps on doing that because it keeps crashing and we have to manually force it off and on"
Programmer: "did you at any point consider what is happening when you restore the crashed state that you saved?"
Engineer: "Oh..."
